Meet Kayla Sherrouse, FNP-BC, PMHNP
Kayla Sherrouse brings nearly 20 years of nursing experience to her role as a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in long-term care, where she spent a decade honing her skills in patient care and advocacy. Recognizing her passion for helping others, she continued her education at Albany State University, earning her Master’s of Nursing in 2017. Kayla spent seven years in a primary care setting, where she developed a keen interest in the significant unmet mental health needs in her community.
Motivated to make a difference, Kayla pursued a post-graduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from Florida State University. At Sherrouse Psychiatry and Wellness, Kayla takes the time to listen to each patient, aiming to provide a holistic approach to health and wellness. She believes in collaborating closely with her patients to formulate individualized treatment plans that best meet their unique needs.
